You know the "quip" sound on a Mac, when you raise or lower the volume from the keyboard? It's annoying, particularly if you are playing music. At a certain point you'll want to turn it off. Here's how:
- Click on the Apple symbol in the upper left-hand corner of your OS X desktop
- Select "System Preferences"
- Select "Sound"
- Deselect "Play feedback when volume is selected"
You're done! The "quip" sound is banished when you press the f11 and f12 function keys.
